About Law Law Land
Law Law Land is a lawyer’s look at the weird, wacky, wonderful world of the entertainment industry. Our goals are to entertain and educate by putting the day’s headlines in context and answering your “haven’t you always wondered…?” questions before they’re even asked. Other websites may tell you what’s going on, but we want to tell you what it all means. Law Law Land contributors have been quoted and profiled in the Los Angeles Times, Hollywood Reporter, Daily Variety, Huffington Post, E! News, MSNBC, Deadline.com, Wired, Bloomberg, the Associated Press, and Game Developer Magazine, as well as numerous legal journals and newspaper nationwide. They are also delightful guests at dinner parties.
In 2010, its first year in publication, Law Law Land was the winner of the ABA Journal’s 4th Annual Blawg 100 Award in the “For Fun” category, receiving the most votes from ABA Journal readers of all 100 legal blogs nominated across 12 categories. In 2011, Law Law Land was again nominated to the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100; however, being a strong believer in term limits, and lacking the energy to coordinate a Chicago-style get-out-the-vote campaign in Los Angeles’ cemeteries, the blog graciously allowed its competitors to enjoy the limelight for the year. It may not be so kind in 2012.
Law Law Land is published by Greenberg Glusker, a full-service Los Angeles law firm with special expertise in entertainment transactions and litigation. The firm’s clients include Hollywood studios, independent producers, A-list talent, and up-and-coming actors, writers, and directors.
